St. Patty's day is coming soon. We got any Irish here ? I'm about 3/4

This is about as Irish as I get .

364 days of the year, I'm 1/8th or 1/16th Irish, but on March 17th, I'm not ashamed to admit, I become 100% Irish for a day.

My Grandmother was Irish, and I've had this Blackthorn Shillelagh for well over 60 years. I've worked in Ireland a couple of times, but that's about as Irish as I get.

Three Englishmen were in a bar and spotted an Irishman. So, one of the Englishmen walked over to the Irishman, tapped him on the shoulder, and said, "Hey, I hear your St. Patrick was a drunken loser."

"Oh really, hmm, didn't know that."

Puzzled, the Englishman walked back to his buddies. "I told him St. Patrick was a loser, and he didn't care." The second Englishman remarked, "You just don't know how to set him off...watch and learn." So, the second Englishman walked over to the Irishman, tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Hey, I hear your St. Patrick was lying, cheating, idiotic, low-life scum!"

"Oh really, hmm, didn't know that."

Shocked beyond belief, the Englishman went back to his buddies. "You're right. He's unshakable!"

The third Englishman remarked, "Boys, I'll really tick him off... just watch." So the third Englishman walked over to the Irishman, tapped him on the shoulder and said, "I hear St. Patrick was an Englishman!"

"Yeah, that's what your buddies were trying to tell me."

my wife's maiden name was Gilligan .... Irish hangs heavy in our family ..

I'm not Irish but I've been 1/2 drunk lots of times.

Being part Irish and Catholic....having St Patrick's day on friday is going to put a damper on the
corn beef and cabbage sammich!!

I forgot about my tanker's . The 2 on the left came to USA from Ireland in 1923 and made in 1911 , the 1 on the right is from Germany in 1975 and is a stamped "original model " .

I've been to Ireland and Northern Ireland a few times. That is as close as I get.

I do have a few bottles of Jameson, Guinness and Smithwicks on the ready for Friday.

Roots of the family tree are in Wales. Just on the other side of the Irish Sea. I do enjoy a Guinness and will raise a glass to the neighbors on their day.

I am part Irish on my late Mom's side. (I am an All American Mutt and have several nationalities in my background.)

My husband cooked corned beef, cabbage and potatoes today. We like to eat this year round not just for this holiday. We have leftovers to last us for a few days too. Dinner was delicious!
