Naw, we were poor. All I had to play with was a stick. Good years I might have a rock to go with it.

We had catapults/slingshots, and a sore backside if our Mum's caught us with them!

Hey you were that kid that walked 5 miles to and from school; up hill both ways...I think I saw you from the bus!

Yep, that was me. Don't forget it was in the snow, and uphill both ways.

I had a Cap Gun, but I don't think it was a Mattel.

The darn thing mis-fired more than anything.

We would get frustrated and put the roll of caps on the concrete and hit it with a big rock.

Our ears would then ring for 5 minutes...

I had several roll type guns, usually used a hammer to pop the whole roll myself

I also remember one of these, similar at least, took the plastic percussion cap style like the ones in the link. I know it was a snubby revolver
