I have the complete first two years and can't wait for the third season to be released. This is one of my all time favorite western TV shows.

This is some good reading for those interested in the show.

The Rifleman is one that I don't own any of, but they do play it like crazy on TV here.
When it's on, it's hard not to sit down and watch it.
Great show.

I catch episodes of it on Hulu when I am forced to work at one of our sites that require a body on site whether they need me or not.

It's great. I have several episodes on a "600 TV Westerns" box set. It's on AMC every Saturday here too. I'm watching 6 seasons of Rawhide right now.
If you Google TV western locations there's a site with lots of Rifleman locations then and now. Also I read his rifle or one of them sold at auction a few yrs ago for $30k or so?

I saw Chuck Connors in person at a local parade many years ago.

One of my favorites. Much better than the trash that passes for entertainment nowadays.

The repeating theme in a lot of the episodes was "everyone deserves a second chance". Of course anytime Luke gave someone a second chance they always deserved it.

I suppose all here know that Johnny Crawford is/was a musician and music was/is his first love? Of course after being shot by John Wayne I the movie "El Dorado" I would have opted for a musical career also.

His Pa told him to keep watch but he went to sleep instead...bad move kid. Should have stayed in North Fork doing the chores.

Pa never should have told him what happens to gut shots either. Did you know they replayed the kid being shot in El Dorado in his last movie The Shootist?

While the majority of John Wayne's movies were great I think his best performance was in "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon."
