I just an email from Henry thanking "the family" and prominently placed is a photograph of Keith Ward. Congratulations, RanchRoper, for your photogenic contribution to the Henry Family and for being such a huge part of this forum.

That's way cool. Keith looks fine, sitting in the saddle with that Henry.

Nothing like a brand new Henry rifle! I think I'd owned it only a week or so. Thanks all!

You know, it's funny how things go. I bought some ammo in town today, actually all of the Winchester 45 Colt was gone (sounds like a bit of a shortage as lots of calibers were stock out) so I bought 200 rounds of Remington LRN 250 gr. Never shot it before but it was on sale. Looks ok for revolver ammo, might be too pointy for rifle tube. Anyhow, as you may have read in other threads I'm weighing a Uberti vs Henry 1860 rifle due to price. However I asked the LGS Henry dealer to get to work on a quote for an HRA one; best price and ETA for Canada. As soon as I got back in the truck the HRA email was on my phone. Pretty tough to beat a company that values customers like that. So we'll see what the quote looks like but I'd sure be a tough sell on anything other than an HRA rifle.

Haha...ya there's a few weeks a year here where it isn't winter. Although I've seen snow here before in June July or August.
