Are you afraid or hesitant to shop for guns on GunBroker because you're not sure you know how it works? Or, if you have shopped for guns on GunBroker, have come away puzzled by the experience? If either of these things are true, you've come to the right place. Here is GunBroker made easy. Actually, it can be explained by two simple rules:

1. If you bid on a gun you really want, someone else will always outbid you.

2. If you bid on a gun you're not really sure you want, no one will outbid you. Ever.

....an online firearm marketplace where half the people are trying to sell non-existent guns to the other half, who don't have any actual money.

I've bought 6 Dan Wesson used guns on GB and I think I did good, didn't steal any, but a couple were close. You need to know what something is worth first and don't go over what you can. There'll be another. Most anything you can think of is there, eventually!!
Some people hate the 15 minute rule, I like it better than feebay!!

I've bought numerous guns on there and have yet to have any sort of issue. Got really good prices on quite a few of them.

My problem with GunBroker is the starting price is way too high. Unless it is some special rare firearm I can find the same thing in shops around me and I enjoy pawing through all the selections. I have a local gun store that sells at rock bottom prices and I can never beat his price on a new firearm. His regular prices are lower than the specials at Cabela's and wally world. It is a small one owner and one part time employee in the low rent district that is about two miles from the range so it is a no brainer I would shop there.

I have a Henry pump coming and paid $444 for it.

I agree SH, as far as new goes, I deal with a LGS where I got my BBS. Huge selection and fair prices. I only use GB for price comparison and mostly for used DWs. I'm good for now on Dans, but still look occasionally. A lot of times, used guns start at $0.01 and no reserve!!

Several years ago, I used to buy and sell a lot of camera gear on eBay. It got so that there were a few sellers on there that were good, so I kinda wanted to support them whenever I could. Sometimes if one of them had an item for sale that was not doing well, I'd give it a little "nudge" to try to get people bidding on it.

Well, you know the rest. Every so often, I would "win" and get a really good deal on something I didn't really want.

I have sold batches of brass on Gunbroker. Always got paid and always made sure the buyer got what they paid for.

Ive bought quite a few guns on GB. But around here where I live theres no selection of guns. In the last 3 years I have joined a local indoor range and they carry quite a few guns. Its a family owned business and I like that. So I suppot them as they are really good guys and treat me very well. Id rather support them so they stay here than anyone on GB.Al

SirHenry we were just discussing how your collection is missing a 22 pump! Glad to see you found one. Was your local gunshop not able to source one?

I have not yet purchased from Gun Broker but I've used it to identify gun shops with decent pricing. For example, in my search for an over/under I found the shop in Pennsylvania with tremendous mid-range shotgun pricing (Beretta, Browning, etc). When I do decide to buy, I'll save a few hundred compared to local prices even with shipping and transfer fees.

Yes my lgs can get me one and it is on order. Usually take three or four business days.

Before Gun Broker there was only LGS , gun shows or ShotGun news . The best deals I ever got in my life was off GB . I've double my money many time that I got off GB and I have bought and sold over 200 guns from GB that were in possible to find or sell anyplace else . Plus you can see real life cost of guns in today's market . It is like a auto car auction that dealer's buy from . Not many people know how make it work to make money . The last GLOCK I got a NEW Gen 4 model 35 for $388 off GB delivered to my door home [ TOTAL ] It was a store display and not a scratch on it . That is under dealer stocking dealer cost for them or a used one. . I looked for these Dueling pistols for over 20 yrs and found them on GB's .

interesting... how do you get handguns shipped right to your home? Are you an FFL?
I can see the maybe the black powder dueling pistols, but the Glock?

I don't have a FFL . Shipped to my door is paying for the gun and shipping to get it to my FFL and pay my FFL to do the paper work and which is my total cost to get to my front door .

Well good. We wouldn't want to confuse someone asking "How GunBroker Works", into thinking or expecting sellers on Gunbroker to ship guns directly to their home by not clearly indicating "home" means "FFL".

Or maybe read the terms of sale

My total cost was $388 to get from Gun Broker seller to my front door . Is that better .

I have tried to buy few guns off GunBroker but always get outbid. On a couple, the same guns which were supposedly sold to a higher bidder, were back on the list for sale again? That did it for me, no more GunBroker. The last two guns I have bought have been from Buds. Free shipping and no
sales tax.

Found my Glock model 35 on Buds Gun Shop . $642 cash ... OUCH I only paid $388 for the same gun and that includes all charges and delivered to me total cost . A few year ago I would bid on 20 guns a month and maybe I would steal one and win the bid . . It took me almost a year to get this Glock 35 .............
