Temporary fix

I did a temporary fix to my room that got damaged so I can work in there and keep the cold out. I wedged a few pieces of the shelf wood between the ones that are loose and crooked to hold some things I will need to use. I did some more sealing of cracks that was leaving the cold in and it has really helped a lot. Makes me still feel sick in the stomach to look at it and think of all the work and time wasted and now have to start again but have to wait until the block work is done and that could be months away. I will just have to make the best of what I have to work with and wait for things to get better.

This is what I have left from my shelves that was on the wall his car came through. Fire starter wood now.

It's a good start, Bandit.
The re-worked shelves look good, and the kindling will help bring some warmth back into your home.
Hang in there...you're doing okay with the recovery so far.
And with Christmas only seven days from today, I trust you will have a really good and peaceful week!
God bless you and your wife...take care.

You did a great job of organizing (reorganizing) everything, Bandit. It's a crying shame that this happened to you in the first place, but you're making the best of a very bad situation. I'm glad.

The pile of kindling is a shame. But good to see you can use the space.
A suggestion for the outside of the house. Layer three or more sheets of heavy plastic and use the tape made by Gorrilla glue. That stuff sticks to everything.

I saw the original damage. Looks like you have spent a lot of time rebuilding. Was this guy drunk texting or fall asleep at the wheel. Never did read what happened. Looking good. Al
