Thought I'd kick off a thread to see everyone's trees as you get them. We have decorations from when we were first married 31 years ago, anniversaries, our son's 1st Christmas, etc as well as everything from cowboys to Star Trek to Popeye.

Great tree. I'm glad Star Trek is included.

Haha, yes Dr McCoy is in there somewhere.

We put up a tree the first few years we were married but then didn't have one for a couple decades.

We've been married for 43 years and we've never had a Christmas tree. We also never had any children, which made it pretty easy to avoid. We do make a pine branch wreath with red berries, pine cones, and a red bow each year that we hang outdoors.

Well I think at Christmas, whatever works for you is great.

I used to have an artificial tree that went up the day after Thanksgiving while the kids were home. After they moved out, I didn't put one up. We get a real tree now, I may even cut it down. I will need a Star Trek Ornament.

As kids growing up, my folks always put up a real tree. Hanging the aluminum tinsel on each branch was kind of a chore.
But the real tree fragrance in the house is still a pleasant memory. Being the oldest, I usually had the task of picking up the pine needles from the carpeting after Christmas. Never really minded that because the real tree fragrance still lingered...

When our four daughter were home, usually had a fairly large artificial tree since we had a quite large, older house. The fun during those years for everyone was changing the ornaments to come alongside the Victorian-style house we had. Of course, "kid-made" ornaments abounded on the branches.

For the too many years now without the girls, we have an artificial stick tree up year around. My wife decorates it according to the current season, e.g. harvest time there are red apples, spring has various flower ornaments, and so on. Of course, Christmas time it becomes our Christmas tree with mostly memory ornaments from the kids, those ornaments we received as gifts, a mini-collection of hanging nativities. My wife likes to hang solid color ornaments now (usually red), and often we add/hang a box or two of red/white candy canes on the branches. The grandkids do notice those, and usually after their visits, the tree has a few less canes hanging! Fun. A lot of the ornaments are dated, and some wood ornaments are signed, too. So our stick Christmas tree becomes each year our history of past joyous seasons. 'Tis the season, and our tree will be decorated soon....as soon as my wife brings down the fall decos from the tree. BTW, there are the small white lights burning all day/everyday throughout the year. Always fun to look at.

Would love to see photos. We just do the artificial tree because of fire concerns with a real one. When our son was small we had real ones.

I'm putting up a leg lamp and will put presents around it.

This small pre-lit tree is just fine with me. Sits up on the table and goes up in the attic after Christmas.

I sold my 12' tree along with half my guitars and guns and other possessions during "The Great Recession".

I'm hoping to replace it, maybe next year...............

The "fireplace channel" is back for Christmas! Haha! Our woodstove is by the back door so this works in the living room...
