Yesterday I went to the library to return some books in Cary, NC. Since it was a little cool, I put on my Bears hoodie with the Bears logo on the left side, very bright on a black hoodie. As I approached the entrance , a mom with young boy maybe 3 or 4 ,was coming out. She called attention to the bear on the hoodie to her son. Then, out of no where, he yells out "Go Bears!" in a very loud voice. MY surprise was mirrored by mom's face at his reaction. Instinctively , I put hand out for low slap which he returned with force. We kept walking, just two guys sharing a moment. A Very cool moment.

Go Bears and take the Cubs with you. Sorry I’m a Packer and Brewers fan.

That little guy may remember that moment for his entire life.

When I was about his age, I ran and stumbled into the corner of the backyard sandbox, putting a huge tear in my knee. It took several weeks to heal and it's still my most visible childhood scar. Shortly after it happened, my father walked with me to the neighborhood store on a Saturday afternoon and a much older man than my dad was passing us on the dirt path going the other way. He stopped to ask me about my bandages. Then, he showed me a scar he had gotten when he was my age and told me mine would get better just like his and he smiled.

That was seventy years ago. I've never forgotten him and, of course, our scars.

Go Bears! Remember that low five, Kid. I know you will.

I am sorry to hear about your "Packer Syndrome". Do not give up. There are drugs and therapy that can help you over come this mental illness.

Double Ditto

Die hard, life long Packers fan here. Hate the Bears but love the actions of the little boy

I would say a third of the fans around here are Bear fans. We call them FIBs which stands for friendly Illinois brothers except they aren’t friendly and they aren’t brothers (fricking Illinois bastards). Seriously we can all have fun watching the game together.

Well, to be honest I've been a Packers Fan for years myself. The Vikings players can't seem to stay out of
jail and I find it hard to support criminals. Besides, the Packers win a Super Bowl once in a while.\
(I also have a lot of relatives in Green Bay who have ties to the Packers).
