Stairway Rise and Unit Run
I currently have a stairway with a 7” rise and 10.75” unit run. I’m thinking of having a second stairway and making it with a 6” rise and 13” unit run. That would still be in the 2 times rise plus unit run equals 25-27” formula. If you have stairs can you measure them and give me your comments.

My stairs are carpeted so it’s hard to get a precise measurement but they are in the neighborhood of 7” x 11.5”.
Re: Stairway Rise and Unit Run
Our house has 3 sets of stairs. Two of them measure 7-3/4 rise with 10-1/4 run. The steps 'feel' and look too steep.
The 3rd set is 7-1/4 by 11-1/2 and are comfortable going up and especially down.
