Did some research and saw that some Robins may not migrate south, saw a few last week and one this morning and this is the first time I can remember seeing one in the Winter around here. I guess they can live on berries and we have lots of Brambles (wild blackberries) around here. I'd always thought seeing my first Robin meant Spring was here but I guess that's not necessarily so.

Robins are common here in the winter. They come in small groups to my watergarden/pond to drink and splash in the parts that haven't frozen over. I let my small backyard go wild a couple of years ago and don't remove fallen leaves that provide places to live for things they like to eat. They flip the leaves over and poke around. Of course, we got about 14 inches of snow last night, so they're not finding much now.

We have them here, too.

I saw a penguin yesterday.

Had 13 in the yard the other day. North of Spokane.

I cant ever remember seeing any there in the winter. There certainly isn’t any around here. I see a lot of eagles and crows and of course turkeys.

I saw a few Robins ahead of the snow storm a few days ago. I suspected we had some around.

When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be a play on the name of a central Georgia AFB.
