Mine would never complain. I know what her sewing machines cost.
Would you believe a top machine these days easily runs eight to ten Henrys?

They do almost anything.

Even funnier, I saw a video short where a wife asked her husband if it wasn't about time to stop buying fishing gear and guns. He never said one word, he walked into the bedroom, opened door to reveal a huge walk in closet. Turned on the light. Swept his hand into the closet. Floor to ceiling shelves lined the walls, and racks run down the middle. Nothing but shoes and purses, purses and shoes.

:?

"Never Mind," says the wife.

The lens I'd like to have runs $16,000. That's why I don't have it.

BTW, my wife doesn't mind my spending on photography equipment. At least, as long as I don't get carried away. It helps that our daughter and I share the hobby, that makes my wife more amenable to photography expenditures.

Tina was that way about my Fly Fishing. Then I taught her to cast. After that, we bought new rods, or reels, ... it was a pair. I never had to worry about ASKING to go fishing. She'd beat me out the door to the boathouse and was hooking up the kayak trailer. She usually caught bigger fish. I love that you can share the hobby with your daughter. Shared hobbies are much more rewarding.

Miss T has her hobbies, I have mine, and we have those we share. It works out well.

I have one, and I still buy whatever the Hell I want.
I don't ask and generally don't even mention getting another.
