First, No I’m not doing it myself.

We are getting a bit of work done.

Master Bathroom:
Steam shower @ 60”x 60”
12” rain shower head
Hand held shower head too
French drains
Marble walls
Canned lights
Stone floor
Automatic window coverings
Removing tub, creating sitting area
Automatic lighted mirror
Heated towel rack.

Master bedroom:
Wood flooring

Hall bathroom: Mine
Same as master but no steam shower
No sitting area
Regular size walk in shower, replacing the tub.

I’m getting too old to keep climbing over the tub.

Stairs:
Hardwood
Carpet runners
Decorative metal hand rail and balusters

Upstairs landing:
Hardwood

Today is day one.

I’ll post pics as the project goes along.

We did our downstairs about 10 years ago.

I have been contemplating getting rid of the tub and installing a walk in shower. Haven't had a bath in years.

We have never taken a bath in the 22 years we have lived here…

I only have showers in this house and miss a bathtub. On a daily basis I shower to get clean but every now and then like to soak in a tub. In Seattle the house had an oversized tub big enough for two people.

Sounds like you need a hot tub…

Our house has gone through at least three renewals. I spend most of my time on the ground floor, or walkout basement I guess. I have a bedroom down here that I can use if my snoring gets too obnoxious, (Old men snore), my computer room, and a full bath with a separate room with a tub and shower. Now it's just Carol and I so she uses the bath on the top floor which has a shower and a nice sized cabinet and mirror and I use the one down here in my so called den. It's just nice not to have to share. (See, when you get older that's not such a big deal anymore). On the main floor is another bath with a tub/shower combo. that's for guests.

That being said, I never use the tub. Haven't in years. I love my walk in shower and there is a storage bench beside it with a dressing mirror as well. I have a stone floor and it's always warm. We also have a hot tub in our three season room, but we haven't used that in years either.

Of course when Carol's four sisters come to visit they take over my space and I move out to the motorhome. Estrogen poisoning is real. :o
