Poor Bermuda

Well, we've been carefully watching the tropics here in coastal SC. Depression nine has had my attention the last couple days. Enough that, day before yesterday, I picked up some bottled water, filled my 5 gallon gas cans to power the generator, and filled my car. It was originally forecast to head our way. Now it looks more like Bermuda is going to get hit again. I know, storms can be unpredictable and it still could come our way. I will continue to keep an eye on it.
I love the fall, but hate having to keep a weather eye on the tropics and worry about hurricanes coming out way. I've been through a cat 4 storm making landfall directly where I live. We actually went outside for a couple minutes when the eye passed our house. The devastation was incredible.
I grew up in Florida in the 60s, and hurricanes were a regular occurrence. We actually looked forward to hurricanes, as it meant a couple days out of school, and lots of standing water to play in. Of course, as a kid, I wasn't responsible for cleaning up and repairing damage, or responsible for keeping the rest of my family safe.
