Last week I wrote about losing Roscoe tiger at the sanctuary I volunteer at . Two days after that , I was notified of my anniversary. Boy,talk about time fly's. A lot of animals have come and gone during that time. I wouldn't missed the funny and sad times for the world. CT suggested that I might share things about the sanctuary and the tigers so I will time to time. I will start off with this.
Did you know that there is a tiger witness protection program? When a tiger or any animal is seized their where about's is keep a secret until all the legal issues are settled. That is to prevent owners from seizing them back. It has happened. Our sanctuary has a low voltage fence around our 64 acres. That is not to keep animals in but to keep people out. When tiger king ranch was shut down over 60 tigers where scattered around the county and hidden. We took six and for two years we could no talk about them, have pictures taken of them or acknowledge them in anyway. Easy you think. Try hiding a 450 lbs white tiger, named Sabre, who is a show off. When the tours walk by his enclosure, we told the people to ignore what was in there and not to take pictures. Thankfully, he is no longer incognito and still a show off. Later, I will tell you about other things you might be interested in.
