I grew up reading Heinlein. Influenced a lot of my thinking and behavior. I have probably read most of his writings with "Stranger in a Strange Land" my bible for a long time. I did not always agree with him but he made me look at things in a different way.
I first read Stranger in a Strange Land in the early seventies and read it a few times more in that first decade afterward. Interestingly, I just read it again a couple of months ago. It's a great novel that absolutely shaped my life. "May you always drink deep. May you never be thirsty."
I too read the book about a month ago. Maybe we are starting to "Grok" with each other.

I've started reading it, but haven't gotten very far, 80-90 pages, somewhere's about there.

Yeah, I'm having trouble with it. I finally put it down. It reminds me of an adolescent mind think of how the world should
be prior to going out on your own and facing reality.
