Just plain sick of the Summer around here this year with all the rain humidity and heat this year. A big success just keeping the grass cut around the home and range property and too hot to do much else outside. I get in more range time during the months I mentioned cause no grass to cut that time of year which equals more plinking FUN!!! Shooting that 45 might scare me the first time again as it has been a long while since I dropped the hammer on something!

Has been a difficult summer to get things done outside.

Actually has been a little cooler here this summer than the last few years. 80's and 90's when last year it seemed we had a month straight of 100's. Still too hot for me to do much outside work during the heat of the day. I do prefer Spring and Fall weather and even Winter is not so bad now that I'm retired and don't have to be at work at 5AM to clear snow/ice off of sidewalks.

We'll see how August goes, but so far here it's been a cooler summer. 70's and 80's mostly, very few 90's. That said it is VERY dry. Fire season dry.

Excellent summer here so far. No searing heat yet, enough rain to keep us green.

Rain, blazing sun.

It's va my fields are 2ft high and vibrant green...

It is so muggy that I saw a family of mosquitoes packing a U-Haul to move to a drier climate.

Yesterday the heat index was over a hundred but our pool and deck are shaded so we all stayed pretty comfortable.
There were probably a dozen in the pool most of the afternoon, (the only one who did not get wet was my wife).
Then ribs and beer brats on the deck with Carol's potato salad, beans, cucumbers in a vinaigrette, and all kinds of
sweets and cake for desert.

Burp!

That's why two old folks keep a pool which we don't use much ourselves. It really brings in the family on a hot hot day.

Then of course we had a thunderstorm last night and I need to check our drive for damage.

My respect to those of you who have to suffer the heat and humidity.

Yes, even when it's very hot here in E.WA the humidity is always very low. I've never traveled to the East coast or down south but have been been to the Seattle area when it's hot and it's much worse than a hotter day over here.

Yes, we’re very fortunate here in central and eastern Washington weather wise. Sure do feel for the folks with the humidity. I was in North Carolina in May several years ago and had to turn the defroster on in my car due to the humidity. That took me by surprise and as it was a rental car I couldn’t quickly turn the defroster on.
