On my Kicker pinball machine I wanted to try a flipper 1/4 inch longer to try and catch a few of the balls headed down the center to the exit. This game makes you work hard to gain points which is fun and frustrating at times. Of course can't find anything like that so off into my shop with a piece of walnut I had and into the mill. After precise measurements and some good guessing had to mill pocket for it to locate on the flipper base.
After machine work done and some finishing I added several layers of white plastic tape to act as a bumper and blend in with the white.

Turned out well and did help catch a ball or two and the flip action was improved after adding a new shaft bushing as it was dragging a bit with the original flipper. Thinking of making another one for the left side which would still leave plenty of free space for ball to go between both flippers but give me a edge on catching a few more gutter balls.

Huge pinball fan. I'm jealous you have your own machine. Only thing I'd rather have is a slot car track. Lol

Well back in November I bought my first one the Beat the Clock machine from 1985. Then my brother passed away in January this year and none of the other family wanted it so took that home. Then the local pinball shop had this very interesting single player game Kicker and had to have it and got a good deal on it. However be prepared to do maintenance on them as you never know when something will fail and it did on two of the machines but was just a cleaning of couple switches. Very fun to play though!

Great plan great execution. It looks better than the original.

Just imagine a machine made with beautiful internals like that paddle.
