Bore Sighting Fun

Got in a couple three new guns in the last few weeks and they are all equiped with optics. Haven't gotten them on the range yet due to weather. This time it's not the cold or the rain but the RED Flag fire conditions. So... while we wait, I ordered the 30-30 laser bore sight tool for the Marlin 336, and pulled out the 12 gauge and 223 bore sight tool and went ahead and checked the Takorov and the Adams Arms AR. Both of those were tweeked until the Red dot sights were spot on with the laser coming from the center of the bore.
The 30-30 is supposed to come in Today's Mail.
These are pretty cool. NO rails to jam down the barrel these days, no levels to worry about. It's a brass cartridge, and small batteries.... insert the batteries in the little brass fake cartridge and the laser comes out the end. Insert the cartridge and point the firearm downrange, look thru the scope, reddot, or iron sights and make your adjustments. Eject the cartridge, remove the batteries and put them aside until the next time.
Actually kind of fun. I had bore sighted the 12 gauge riot gun with the peep sight, and the first three live rounds were in the black at 15 yards, and centered at 25. No adjustments needed.
