This year my wife and I made our own feast since my son and his family were going to his wife's sister's home about 40 miles away for dinner.
So I warmed up some nice turkey slices from the deli along with a couple of sides. Had the oven, the air fry oven and microwave all running at different temps and times and now know the wife's stress of cooking!
Friday around noon we went to visit the couple that got us together on a blind date 50 1/2 years ago and we haven't seen them in like 40 years! I had been in touch with them on Fbook for a while and we really enjoyed the visit and they live in my son's neighborhood area too! He is a big collector of guns heavy into the AR variety and when we got there his wife was ordering him a gun for Christmas! My wife and his wife were friends in high school and would with couple other girls pile into my wife's 1972 Gremlin and make laps cruising Shoneys Drive in. I used to always see them before I was introduced on that first date. I also knew and hung around with her husband being from my small city and he owned a nice 1973 Trans Am and I had a new 74 Z/28 at that time. He had a bad fall off a ladder several months ago injuring his right shoulder and arm and will be several more months before he can shoot anything and he wants to come down to my range and enjoy some shooting.
Friday evening my son and the two grand daughters came by for some pumpkin pie and a great visit. All in all with all the college football games to watch it was a FUN weekend so far!
Hope you all enjoyed a great Thanksgiving also!

Sounds like a very nice and enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend.
Hope your buddy's recovery is quick and y'all can get together and enjoy some shooting fun.

Wy wife and I had a good Thanksgiving.

We met our daughter, her husband and two of three grandkids at my wife's shack in western North Carolina. Far too much food was cooked and eaten but it was good, very good.
