Something strange going on here with pictures!

Usually no issue for me posting pictures as attachments to a post but this is wild. I went to my picture files to grab 3 new pictures to add to a post here. When I click on Attachments my computer picture file menu pops up like normal and those 3 new pictures are missing. When I am off this site and pull up same Picture Files those 3 new pictures are there. Even if I move those pictures to Documents or new folder they appear on my selection BUT not there when I go to select them to load to my new post here. As a test I tried loading them to Facebook and no issue they pop right up.
Weird mojo going on here at this site! It is only the 3 new pictures I loaded on my Picture files yesterday all the others are fine! The pictures I sent in email form to myself from my phone and then grabbed them and loaded to my main computer picture files.

Forty, do the filenames on your computer include their type extension (jpg, png, gif)? If not, that might be the reason they're not available to select for upload.

They are a JFIF type file and that may be the problem. Is that due to sending them in an email and then sending to my Picture Files?

Probably. JFIF is a stripped down JPG file version for compatibility when transferring files between platform types. You might be able to just rename the files with a JPG extension.

While we are on this something strange topic. The emojis from cell phones use to work on the forum. They still work as far as the preview but when the actual post is made they disappear into blue squares with question marks in them. Something has changed
