This coming Fri, Aug 30 begins the annual MS 2A Tax Holiday, which starts the annual stampedes to local gun shops and on-line vendors of gun and archery stuff.

That’s fantastic, gotta love Mississippi. Here in Washington if such an event happened it would be a double tax day.

This about the 8th or 9th year this has been in effect. It's great for me, since my long time LGS gives me 10% off of most guns anyway, and ammo & related gun stuff, and doesn't charge me for NICS for a firearm. On a $500 gun that saves me $110 this weekend.

Went by my LGS this morning about 15 minutes after they opened. Was gonna spend some money, but there wasn't any available parking within walking distance, and probably 2 dozen people waiting outside in the heat for their turn to get in. Probably be the same all day today and tomorrow. Millions of $$ will be spend on gun stuff in MS this weekend.
