I don't like doing the change. I don't care if it ends up DST or SDT as long as we stop going back and forth.

Doesn't bother me but I do like the longer daylight in the evenings when in Daylight Saving Time mode and like the early sunshine in the morning in the Standard Time.

i like longer days and don't understand anyone who does not. Even when I was working and getting up at 5:30 am, I still preferred to have the extra daylight time when I got off work. I love and live for being outdoors. Dark at 5:00 pm is depressing.
To each their own I guess...

It was starting to get dark today at around 4:30 and it's still a month and a half until Winter Solstice. Also living in narrow canyon/draw with hills that face East and West even though it's still light we lose our sunshine early. On the shortest days of Winter we only get a few hours of sunshine. We are also prone to temperature inversions in the Winter so may not see the Sun for weeks at a time anyway.

It is nice in the Summer when there's no direct sunlight for a couple of hours before dark, cools off considerably but still light enough for yard work and such.

I have full east and south exposure year round. In Washington I didn’t see the sun for two hours after it rose in the winter. Then it was down on the horizon being blocked by trees half the daylight hours. I hated it so much when I moved to Wisconsin I only looked at houses with southern exposure. My house is all windows on the east.

While I hate changing the clocks at all I do like this change the best. I’m a morning person so more light in the morning is better. For the most part in the afternoons I’m done outside so don’t need the light. Funny, our dog sure has noticed. We feed him 3x per day, 7:00, noon and 5:00. Last night around 4:00 he started going to the feed bowl and again this morning at 6:30 he was giving mom those sad dog eyes…

I’m weaning the dogs onto the “darkness” by feeding them half an hour later. I have a hatred of the change, as I don’t care if it’s dark at 7:00 am, but I’d like to be able to see at 5:00 pm when I’m working. Oh well, it’s unlikely any government will grow a pair and leave the changes behind. They all say “we will stop if YOU will”.

Alright why don't they split the change and move it one half hour and leave it year round?
