Heard he was thinking about retiring, this just might be the right time.

I saw that yesterday. He was in 2 other pretty rough crashes in his career.

I agree, I believe this one was his last run.

Always been a favorite of mine. Prayers for a full recovery.

He has always been a "Force" in drag racing, (no pun intended). I do hope he quits while he's ahead. He is, and always will be a huge name in the sport.

That was a hard hit on the concrete wall and surprised he wasn't knocked out. The track is about 15 minute drive from home and way to hot me to attend this weekend!

Wow! Hitting the wall going 302 mph at 75 years old, if you don’t get the message after that. Retire.

I saw a video of him on the stretcher minutes after the crash. He was sitting up and was animated. He appeared shock up but otherwise not injured.

It’s amazing how much energy there still is in the rear tires even after a couple of wall strikes.

Just got an update E-mail from my local paper. Looks like his injuries are worse than we first thought. Says he has head injuries and could be a long road to recovery.

I'm more of an old Nascar fan, but I've seen a few funny cars explode lately. Seems like they are worse than ever.

Yup... over 300 mph on the ground is pretty dangerous.

I always thought top fuel racing was most dangerous of auto sports. This just confirms my thoughts.
