Hired a landscape company to come in and remove the dirt and all the magnolia and hemlock tree roots...bring in top soil and grade and seed. They did a great job and now just keep it wet and wait. My zoysia hopefully will over take the grass that was planted over time plus I will harvest some that grows down in the street on the hill side and plug it in.
Another bonus was I had them haul a load of the old dirt down to my range for another small berm addition.

Given a little time Zoysia will take over and replace whatever was growing their before. Just give it some fertilizer once a year and it will be happy. :D

Can I borrow your backhoe? I have a neighbor that needs an attitude correction.

We've had a solid week of rain, severe thunderstorms, high winds, hail, and tornados. Other than the tornado issues and hail, I'm not complaining. We have more severe weather due tonight. Even with the minor flooding we've had here on the farm, the two year drought is over. It seems its headed your way. If it makes it, you should have plenty of rain. :). Our pastures are lush and green now.
