I was looking for a deal on this Dewalt 20 volt vac, my Lowes and every other big box store seem to have it for $149, about $30 under MSRP.
I found a well rated eBay seller in Georgia who had several New In Box vacs for $120, with free shipping.
I bought that item, and the very NEXT MORNING it appeared on my front porch. The sticker on it was for a Lowes home delivery driver. It arrived so fast, the “your item has shipped” email didn’t arrive until a few hours later. I am trying very hard to understand how a vendor clear across the USA sells a product for so much less than the box store AND gets that store to deliver it at no charge to me!
Any comments? How does this even work? I am baffled. The eBay guy has one left if anybody wants to buy it. I would be interested to see if it ships from your local Lowes…..

Edit, got this message from the seller: “ The item was delivered today by "same day delivery service". Thank you for shopping with us.”

It's simple, the vendor merely warehouses their products in facilities owned by Amazon or other
delivery services at numerous places around the country. Then when the item is ordered it's already
in the area.

But Lowe’s isn’t part of Amazon. Or is it? I never heard of some random eBay guy using this method…..

in their warehouse so they can deliver quickly. If you check the Amazon web site for any product
they will tell you how many they have in stock locally.
