Wonder why they don't recycle it. Scrap brass shell price is $2 a pound.

Pic is from 1946… so scrap value at today’s rate would be about $0.14 per pound. for what it is worth, they were not too concerned about recycling scrap WW2 materials, except maybe aluminum aircraft. Sadly….

Like John said that was '46.
I'll bet it was just buried like all the tanks, jeeps and other equipment was when they left.
Which was a much better action than, like the last time our military left stuff behind a couple years ago.
