A secret meeting to discuss UFOs is taking place in the heart of the US government next week – raising questions about what intelligence officials are keeping from the public.
Members of the House Oversight Committee will be given a classified briefing on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), the new name for UFOs, in the Office of House Security on Friday, January 12.
Interest in UAP at a government level soared last year after a former intelligence officer, David Grusch, turned whistleblower, alleging the government had 'evidence of intact and partially intact alien vehicles'.
That bombshell led to a full congressional hearing on the subject, in which Mr Grusch and two other witnesses gave testimony under oath regarding their experiences with UAP.

I think they are going to announce the 1971-1980 Ford Pinto was actually made by Mercury.

Not to be argumentive here, but I'd give that nod to the AMC Pacer.......... Or this:

This actual car sat on my road where a guy has a body shop bizness. It was painted black when my son & I saw it while driving past. I took a photo of it, but evidently didn't save it? It was in the Portland Roadster Show in the early 2000s. The thing I remember most is seeing it as my 13 yr. old son & I drove past it, then backing up to take a picture of it with my phone. When we got home my son flew inside the house nd yelled "Mom, the Johnsons have a space ship!".

I owned a Pacer bright red and all windows. Don’t know what possessed me to buy it. But it was a comfortable ride. Looking back I could see George Jetson cruising around the galaxy in it.

My dad had a 1973 or 74 Pinto. It was red with a black interior. The neatest thing I remember was it had a T handle for the automatic shifter on the floor. He seemed to like it, right up until someone t-boned him. I think he got the Ford Fiesta after that. It was a standard shift and was the car I drove about 25,000 miles before my road test. The brownie was impressed after he made me repeat the number.

I had two Pinto's. Love them both. Last one was the wagon that got totaled just parked on the street.

I had a wagon in the late 70's. Baby blue in color. I loved the look of the car, but it was a gutless 4cyl. Glad it's gone for that reason. I think it would have been a great car if it had small V-6.

My first new car I got was a 1980 Pinto pony 4 on the floor. Always got comments about what a death trap the car was, like no one was ever killed in an auto accident until Ford introduced the Pinto in the 70's. By 1980 all the kinks were worked out and recalls were fixed, was actually a very dependable car. A very fuel efficient car, 25 miles to the gallon with top speed of about 55 mph. If you pushed to 60mph you could hear the engine whine and fuel efficiency dropped below 20 mpg.

When I got married in '76, my wife came with a pepto bismo pink 73 pinto she called pinto bean. It was a graduation gift from her dad who thought she would like the "pepto pink" and had it painted. . . . never drove that thing and refused to ride in it.
