Humidity 78%

We did get a little rain overnight, but not enough. It still might rain a bit more.
Our half a hog is ready to pick up. The meat market cures the bacon and hams the way we want.
I'm anxious to try some bacon to see how it tastes, so bacon wrapped hot dogs tonight.
See, the youngest Grand Child is coming to spend the night for his first time, and he likes hot dogs.
And mac and cheese, and beans, and .........well, you know, he's seven and knows everything already.
He's actually a really good kid.

It's 82°with 87% humidity and headed towards 100° again today. We didn't make 100° yesterday but were pretty close to it. Went to the oncologist yesterday and the news was good. The small tumor (5mm) hasn't increased in size over the last few months. I'm scheduled for scans every six months to keep an eye on the bugger. They also took blood to look for markers (CA 19-9). Under 35 is the range and I'm right next to it at 34. All is good so far. I cooked bacon, pancakes and coffee for breakfast.

^^^^^ good news Jake!

Woke up to a nice refreshing 41 with sun streaming thru the trees. Predicted high is 78 today and 86 tomorrow. Summer has arrived right on schedule per the calendar anyway. Outdoor stuff today with some weeding and mowing and whatever else Mrs. hatchdog directs me to do. She’s getting pretty bossy these days.

A cold front came through during the evening and it's refreshingly cool this AM.
I'm up early for church and then a leisurely Sunday watching NASCAR.
Nothing much going on today.

Well, belay that. We got half way out of our driveway and there is a very large Oak tree
laying squarely across our path. There is no way to get around it, so, back to the house
and now I'll be cutting it up the rest of the morning.

Not the day I had planned.

Morning, the daughter and most of the family are safely back in SC this AM.
The wife and MIL are with the other 2 boys in middle TN and will be home later.
I'm going to mow before they get home.
May ring some steel after that. ;)
