A nice refreshing 46 out there as I watch the sun stream thru the brush, beautiful. Today’s high is expected to be an incredible 84 and tomorrow 88. If that happens it will be a new record high for Spokane. We’re going to take advantage of this nice weather and take the boat out for a run tomorrow. Today it’s get it done day. :D
Similar story here, just up the road from you. Going to “the big city” this morning to pick up bathroom tile, then home to work on the house or a customer trailer. Tomorrow will be work in the morning, then a boat ride with some fishing in the afternoon. How much snow do you guys see in DP, John? And when do you usually see the first snow on the ground?
Here in Deer Park just 15 miles north of Spokane we are in a snow belt. We get probably around 70+ inches of snow for the season and lately we get snow and it stay around for the winter. Used to be we would get a snow thaw cycle that kept the total on the ground down. First snow can be in September but for snow that stays around that’s not until October or November.
I grew up in Spokane and I missed the snow when we moved to Seattle. I’ll see some snow this winter in Wisconsin.

Currently 41F and overcast. My Black Rifle coffee is 105F

I'm up early. This week the VA wants me to visit three clinics for evaluation for benefits. Their
idea, not mine. I have a disability for hearing and have the hearing aids, but now they say they
think I'm eligible for more, so..............
The clinic today is on the other side of the Twin Cities. About an hours drive. The next two are
local.
So, coffee and cookies and on my way.
Good luck with the VA.

58F with 68% humidity.
Coffee is an unknown temp here. Paul DeLima and an Aldi bag mix.
My sauce is cooked and flavored overnight. I reduced the water content by about an inch yesterday. Getting ready to pressure can today.
Another rainy day looks like here.
I hope you have a great day!

Hmmm. I’m not sure if we are in a “belt” here, but we are right on Christina Lake and I hear we get a bit more snow than Grand Forks which is only 10 mins to the SW. Coming from a ski town that got an average of 37’ per year, this will be better for sure, but the few years spent down by the ocean was a treat and might have spoiled us. I have chains for my tractor and a plow for my truck, so that’s covered at least. Should be a much drier snow here too
Gonna be up in your neck of the woods today, launching at the Kettle Falls ramp for a day of pleasure boating on Roosevelt.
How was it? I just booked us in for a night at Kamloops Island this week. Haven’t stayed there before, so looking forward to a new spot. Thought about Bonaparte again, but it’s nice to see new spots.

Don't know why it would be deleted as I'm not an admin. Sure, we care about those in FL coping with Ian. We've been hit with several hurricanes where I live and it's not a laughing or joking matter. I hope you make it through okay. Did you evacuate?

Just had cereal and coffee this morning. It got down to a nice 62° this morning and have the windows open. I'll get them shut when the AC comes on.

Having not seen it, I can't imagine why it would be deleted. Perhaps something in the content, I don't know.
Hope you are safe though!
BTW, sometimes, if you hit submit at the same time as someone else, their post will show and yours will not. then you must re-submit. It IS a popular thread as you know, so that can easily happen.

It was a beautiful day on the lake, nearly deserted and smooth water. Temps were around the low 80’s with lots of sunshine. This was our pup’s first time on a beach without a leash and he went nuts. Running up and down the beach, in and out of the water did a little swimming on his own and just acted goofy.

Yesterday Spokane did set a new record at 89. Today it will 80 with rain and a cold front coming in overnight. Tomorrow’s high is 67 and then a return to nice fall warm temps and sunshine.

Today’s activities include getting ready for a grouse hunt we have scheduled on Friday. This will include finally getting the Henry 410 out. I’m embarrassed to say I have yet to fire it. I’ll run a couple a mags thru it and then hopefully put a couple of grouse in the pot.

Here’s a pic of Trey on the beach yesterday.
