43 this rainy morning .... predicted high of only 44 .... that's most certainly better than the icy weather moving through the country west and north of us .... Maureen has noon medical appointment in Cary, a town northwest of us, where you can't tell when you cross out of Raleigh and into Cary ... yesterday I mentioned 3 of our family vehicles were in the shop .... our 2000 Buick Park Avenue needed a new Mass Airflow Sensor which proved to be an expensive gizmo .... my 2011 Silverado had a burned out day running light which also serves as a low beam headlight .... went ahead and replaced both .... doing so requires taking more items loose than on any vehicle I've ever owned .... the third required some warranty work .... hopefully they will all be good to go for a while

Partly cloudy this morning: a low of -2 and an expected high of 27; 4 currently. With both parents working, we had to take a granddaughter to dentist. She broke off a front tooth and had to have a root canal and have the tooth reattached. Broke the tooth off while ice skating, ouch! Everyone have a great day!🇺🇸

21 heading to maybe the mid 30’s and overcast. Thus begins the gray days of February. The air is gray (fog), the ground is gray (dirty snow) the cars are gray (road grime) and our moods are gray. And then….presto it’s March and the sun returns and all the dirty snow is gone. Hooray!

Not much today other than taking the dog for a romp and maybe loading up some 32 H&R’s. I have some 100 grain XTP’s ready for testing but recently picked up some 85 grain XTP’s. I’m thinking I’ll run the 85’s in 32 H&R and the 100’s in 327 Fed Mag. Planning a trip to the range Saturday to meet a guy for some CFE BLK and will be doing some shooting too.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Rainy and cold (for here) at 37° degrees. The dogs still wanted to go out this morning except the little one. He hates being in the rain. I cooked a three-egg omelet this morning with left over sausage from last night along with some toast and coffee. I went out after breakfast to get a haircut. I'm going to get some work done today but nothing taxing.

Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, 12°F, Humidity 73%, Barometer 30.08 in
North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
A chance of flurries before 9am, with a temperature rising to near 9 by 9am,
then falling to around -2 during the remainder of the day. Wind chill values as low as -21.
Then we're plunging into the deep freeze for another couple of days.
Coffee coming up.
Stay warm folks.

Same forecast here too. It’s going to it -21F by tomorrow.

the icy tail of the storm front that has left at least 6 dead in Texas and is still dumping ice on Dallas is stringing by just northeast of us .... its 37 here with today's projected high reaching 42 .... 97% chance of rain .... one of those days where I'm perfectly happy to not venture outside of the house .... breakfast has come and gone ... Folgers still on duty
