This guy is a politician, but the video is not political in nature. Mods may remove if deemed necessary, I don't think it crosses the line. Let's keep any discussion apolitical. It is titled "Three Things I Learned Raising Daughters".
I know most of you on the forum have already raised your daughters. Still, most of us can relate to this, including the ladies, and perhaps you can pass on some of this wisdom to others. I hope it adds a little something to your Father's Day.

“Teach them to shoot just in case”. Can’t argue with that.

He either got choked up on that one, or was a very, very good actor.

Excellent Video. I have three daughters, and I can't argue with any of the points he brought up. Especially #4. I taught all three of mine to shoot, and to shoot well.

I have three daughters as well, but not quite the same. I have an adopted daughter, a step daughter and and ex daughter in law. I have been the only Dad each has known. Two of their Father's abandoned them, and one's Father died in an auto crash on his way to work. I also have three sons. Two of my own and a Foster son. All but my youngest son are doing well.
Anyway I enjoyed his video. I've tried to always be there for them when they needed me, but I also taught the self reliance, (and how to shoot just in case).
Already this morning I have received Father's Day wishes from all the girls.
In church this morning I watched a young Father with two little girls and a little boy. They were new to the church and the girls were uneasy among strangers. He had one on each side of him with his arms around them. They were probably four or five years old and I could tell they worshiped Daddy and he loved them. The younger little boy was by his Mother. This is important. Little girls need a strong male figure in their life. Daddy will either be a positive or a negative model for them. When they marry they will make decisions based on that. I try to be a positive model.
All three of my girls have been divorced. All three made poor choices with their first husband. My Wife asked me what kind of man they should look for and I told her a Toad. She laughed and asked what a toad was. I said, not an Adonis, just a plain guy who works hard and is honest and kind. Like me, I'm a toad.
Our youngest is quite good looking and their were lots of suiters but one day she brought one home that fit the bill. My Wife asked if he was a Toad and I said most definitely. She married him and they have a family and are doing very well. Somehow the word got out and now my other son in laws end their text message to me with the picture of a frog. I guess they can't find a toad emoji.
Life is good.
