FT Sumter tour

Sandy and I took a drive to Charleston to visit FT Sumter something we've been wanting to do. Pictures do no justice I highly recommend

Did you take a carriage tour downtown? Great way to see the old city and the carriage drivers are generally very knowledgeable and give out a lot of good information.
I still think the new bridge is out of place, although the old two lane bridge was a white knuckle drive over the rivers.

We walked King Street for some good eats, we're going back for some plantation tours. Lots to see and do in our new home state

Don't know if you've followed any of my photography posts, but a lot of my pictures have been taken at Magnolia plantation and gardens. Lots of nice gardens, and they also have the Audubon Swamp Garden available, if you are into that. Middleton Place, just down the road from Magnolia, has more history going on, with some reenactors on site most days.
From a trip to the swamp garden this weekend.
