I bought a nice Savage 110 in .308, mounted a Burris Veracity scope on it, took it to the range, sited it in and now sits in my gun safe for a SHTF day.

We live waaay back in the woods and have lost power frequently over the years, so, we purchased a Generac last
Summer. Well, we bought it a year ago and it took that long to get one. Anyway, it's all installed and we've lost
power once this Winter so far for three or four hours. She kicked right in and even powered my shop.
Kinda spendy, but if you can afford it I think it's a good investment. It runs on propane and we have a thousand
gallon tank fueling the house and 250 more fueling the shop. We prebuy our fuel in the Summer when it's
cheapest and we make out like bandits on the price.
All of our power is underground so when we lose power it's a general area thing. Even the shop is underground.

We look at this as a capital investment.
