From last nights news report the truck hit both a parked car and a tree before it hit the house. Thank God. Otherwise I expect the truck would have entered the house much further. This happened around midnight so I suppose the driver was under the influence but that’s just a guess on my part. Two injured but nobody killed.

Ironically the yellow sign in the yard says, “neighbors drive 25”.
Thanks for the update, at midnight the last few days we get black ice, that pickup was undoubtedly speeding, but he probably has worn all season tires too.

Real Spokanites use studded snow tires ;) And don’t do 100 in a 35 zone.

There is a retired Pastor that lives in the small ghost town we live just outside of. His house sits on the corner as you enter town. He has a custom roadsign mounted on his porch facing the street. "Drive like YOUR kids live here."

edited to add a pic of the sign.... :D

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

This pastor was the same one that was the first person in our little area to come and welcome Miss T and I after we moved in. He was also one of two ministers I asked a simple question.

Being a retired Marine and Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, do you think the congregation will have a problem if I carry a firearm in Church? With the situation in the country and the violence against Churches today, I feel it's a good idea. He grinned. "I'm sure they won't. I carry mine." :) The second minister said the same. He added this line. "Welcome to Oklahoma." 8-)
