I remember listening to Crosby, Stills and Nash and then Neil Young.
Graham Nash from the Hollies
Stephen Stills from Buffalo Springfield
David Crosby from the Byrds
They made some music

I never was either, I'm sure they had some good music to some, just wasn't my taste.
Just passing on the info, and looks like forty was just a few mins. a head of me on the news.

Not the biggest fan of all time, But dang those 3 (sometimes 4) sure did sound great together. His book also was pretty interesting, Long Time Gone.
GODSPEED Mr. Crosby.

He was quite a character offstage, but just in terms of musicians who followed him and were inspired by him, personally, as well as his band, Crosby was a huge influence. Regardless of what you thought of his music, you have to give him credit for that.

As for me, yeah, all the music of that genre and that era were a big influence on me. Not crazy about Crosby as a person, but this one really hurt. Hard not to take it, personally.

Saw the four of them way back when with my soon to be wife in Chicago. I think it was in the old Chicago Stadium. The acoustics were horrible. The place was barn. At one time Crosby said every body should ask for their money back. It didn't really matter to me. It was just cool to be 4 rows back and watching my girl take it all in. She didn't wander to far from the rez in northern Wisconsin growing up so this was mind blowing to her. First concert for her. It is a good memory.

just found out something I didn't know about Crosby. Believe it or not, he was an NRA member and big advocate of carrying. Who knew?

As a person he was controversial. But CSN put out music that was special to me and I still relate to it today. RIP
