Police searching for armed suspect in our neighborhood with choppers flying overhead right now at 11:14 PM.
Got my stuff ready! Last night right up the road on the blvd. was another suspect chase that ended in a wreck.

I don’t think there is even one chopper in my county. Unless you count Harleys. They are made 40 miles down the road.

Stay safe.

All quiet right now. I was on the computer and heard a copter making laps around our area and flying low. Got on the Fbook local page and
read the on going details. Grapped the suppressed 45 Colt Henry carbine always loaded with the xtp's

12g Shockwave, with red dot, ported barrel and streamlight forearm. Effective.

Doors locked at night. Buster the 4 legged bark alarm ( no batteries required) sleeps lightly, Motion flood lights illuminate a nice field of fire to pistol target..observe and report said characters to law enforcement. A dead end road in the Carolina woods isn't stranger friendly, often hear banjo playing at night down in the holler

I see that you made it, so that's good news.

Crime is just about everywhere. We have an expensive helicopter in our county. We help the surrounding counties but we pay for it. I don't recall ever seeing it in my neighborhood. If I did, I'd be preparing. I see Army helicopters a lot, going from point A to B.

Where I live, I'm glad I don't have to lock doors or windows if I don't want to. I worry more about four legged varmints thankfully.

With my background, I lock everything, trust no one, have a good alarm system, good camera system, AND moved to a rural area where the criminals are mostly coyotes, racoons, and possums. But... Still trust... No one. Safer that way.

I worked adjacent to the metro Richmond area for years...
Murder was a sport when I first got out of the Corps.

By the time I actually worked IN Richmond, it was more of a hobby.

We're very secluded and used to be we didn't worry about locking doors. Now it it's different. There are 3 residences on this hidden road segment. One of the neighbors is new this Sept. They are city folk, not used to the rural dark, so they leave their outside lights on all night. Not only annoying for sleeping, but hard to detect prowlers slinking around with their mini flashlights. The new neighbors also use grub hub and uber eats like people to deliver food. Mis- deliveries to our house are frequent. People dressed like gang-bangers, pull up in fancy cars. I figure it is now just a matter of time before one or more of them come back for home invasion now knowing how secluded we are.
