I think she's in love with me

One of the gun counter clerks at the local AF Base Exchange is a grandma in her late 50's/early 60's. She is very knowledgeable about gun stuff ( pretty sure she's a shooter herself), and I've been patronizing them for a couple years. I was in this morning to pick up some ammo and targets, and her eyes lit up and she knew what I wanted before I even asked and wanted to know how I liked the pistol I'd bought about 3 months ago (a Glock 34 MOS)! I'm not in the market for any kind of personal relationship, and she's a bit young for me anyway. Since I've been off the market for over 50 years, I'm not real sure how to handle this. I'd like to keep it friendly but not with benefits if you get my drift.

IMO, If Ya don't want anything in return, I would either not visit there anymore, or just continue to be friendly as you would be to anyone else.

If you both enjoy the occasional encounter then don't change a thing, a little flattery is good for the soul, if she asks if you reload and winks at you then you may be in trouble..

I think the direct response is best. I’ve been approached here and just tell them I’m not interested in any relationship. You told us now tell her.

OR... she could just be friendly and flirting to be nice. She has probably been flirting all her life and we Marines are chick magnets.
Be glad you can recognize it. My wife will laugh at me when we leave somewhere and say, "I should go back in there and smack that gal."

Just be honest if anything more comes your way, she maybe works on comission and just has a great memory for what people want.
