I turn 65 next saturday and in misdouri you dont need to buy a permit to hunt from 65 on. (Except for deer and turkey) .... so you nut eating squirrels better watch yer backtrail... wah ha ha!!!!

I believe you don’t need one in Wisconsin either for varmint or predators.

You can shoot furbearers to protect your property but you can't sell/transfer the fur.
We have problems with coyotes, racoons, opossums, and armadillos to name a few.
As long at they stay away from the livestock, we ignore them. We have been having good luck,
until just recently. They took a duck and a chicken in the last week.

I had to buy mine here in SC. When you turn 64 you can get a permanent license for a one time fee of $9. Includes fishing, hunting, WMA permit etc. Still have to get the Federal duck stamps, if you want to shoot Daffy. I stink at skeet, and don't really feel like getting up at 4:00 in the morning to go sit in a cramped, cold, damp blind for hours on the off chance of getting a pound or two of duck meat.

Ya do here in Tennessee, unless you're hunting your own land, then you don't have to have any license to hunt or fish.
Small or large game.

Just because it's not fun for me, doesn't mean it can't be fun for you.

I used to crawl around on the bottom of dark rivers looking for old stuff, playing tag with the snakes and gators. Not a lot of people's idea of fun, but I loved it.

Speaking of duck hunting ,a buddy up in Wisconsin sent this a short while ago.

I used to be an avid hunter but these old bones are too weary. When my boys were at home
we were a hunting camp in the Fall. I do miss those days, but time marches on. Now I enjoy
watching others have fun getting cold and wet.

I encountered this fellow in my front yard last evening. In the olden days I hunted them in
Virginia and West by God Virginia, but they're pretty scarce here, so he's safe, for now anyway.

Hey coop, my buddy up in Wisconsin, after the morning duck hunt. He and his nephew and his son went after some woodchuck and grouse.
Been quite the morning, and yesterday afternoon he and a young lady friend both took a nice doe with crossbows.

In my neck of the woods it's still pretty warm and full of ticks and mosquitoes to be out in the woods.

Some years it's brutal until mid Nov. This year it's not too bad, but I'm still rather tied to the house. That is looking to change soon, hopefully.
