Women and washing machines....

Post by fortyshooter » Sun Sep 11, 2022 9:58 am

My wife will load the bed sheets along with a bunch of towels sometimes. Works okay until the load gets shifted and the washer tries to spin itself into out of balance pieces! So I try to explain load balance when this happens such as take some of the heavy wet towels out...redistribute the rest and let that load spin. Then remove some of the load and into dryer and then load the towels for a no problem spin.
Wet bath towels along with bed sheets is a lot of wet weight to spin especially when it is lumped to one side of the washer drum.
Oh well I stepped in and got it sorted out!

I figured out a long time ago my wife always had a plan to mess up something, so I'd do the work for her. I finally got wise to it and stopped.

We never really had that problem till we bought a new machine with no center auger. If it wasn't located in a position where it's a big effort to get to, I would had returned it. I did let Whirlpool know about though, just before the warranty was up and I believe they would had been willing to take it back. Once we build a new house though, it's going.
