2022 College Football

Post by JEBar » Thu Sep 01, 2022 7:14 pm

the 2022 season is underway .... UNC got off to a good start with a 56-24 win over Florida A&M .... tonight we will be watching Ball State at Tennessee ... the Vols intercepted the first play after the kickoff and with less than 30 seconds off of the clock is now up 7 - 0 .... later we are looking forward to seeing Wake Forest go up against VMI

the Vols (playing before one heck of a crowd) completely out classed Ball State while Wake Forest (playing before a pretty good but far from sellout crowd) dominated VMI but nowhere near as by as much ..... looking forward to seeing Duke at home tonight against Temple

Go Cougs. Washington State plays the Idaho Vandals on Saturday. This is a revival of a very old rivalry between these two schools which are located only eight miles apart but in different states. Cougs should dominate but, well you know, that’s why they play the game! :D

Duke didn't have any trouble with Temple last night .... do hope both teams have better seasons this year .... at noon UNC at Appalachian , NC State at East Carolina, and South Dakota State at Iowa .... guess I'll put a good bit of wear on our remote flipping between games ...

talk about 3 "interesting" games .... UNC over App 63-61 .... I mean seriously, how often does a team score 6 touchdowns in the 4th quarter and lose ..????.. SD State got beat by a score of 7-3 ... Iowa scored its 7 points through getting a field goal and 2 safeties ..... NC State beat East Carolina by 1 point ....

East Carolina needs a discussion with their kicker! They had the game in their hands.

Weeeeellllll, not only did the Cougs not dominate they barely squeaked out a win at 24-17. But a win is a win. Offense took the first half off other than handing the ball to Idaho for easy scores. Did much better in the second and the defense was strong all game.

Same thing for the Eastern Washington Eagles, played poorly but squeaked out the win.

well, as an ACC fan I wasn't unhappy to see the Seminoles go into Tiger Stadium and beat LSU 24-23 .... the last few minutes of this game elevated it to the status of an instant classic .... :D
