Favorite movie/series firearm?
Re: Favorite movie/series firearm?
There was a Netflix series several years ago about the building of the railroad called Hell on Wheels. The main character used what I believe was an 1860 Army but truly I’m pretty ignorant about these style guns. Anyway, to reload he would remove the empty cylinder and replace it with another already charged and capped. Anyway, I thought that was pretty cool.

I really enjoyed that series. Especially liked Lilly Bell!

I don't know the model of his gun but that was also how Eastwood reloaded his in the final scenes of Pale Rider.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 12:36 pmThere was a Netflix series several years ago about the building of the railroad called Hell on Wheels. Yes was a good series, several of the colts were made like that. 1851, 1860 1862.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 12:36 pmThere was a Netflix series several years ago about the building of the railroad called Hell on Wheels. I like the 1858 Remington as it has the cylinder rod that slides out like the later single action cf pistols had.
I do have a couple of replicas.
But maybe one of the interesting one was Tuco Eli Wallach build one out of several.

Hey All,
Hmm I have to start with the guns - greeners the semiauto pistol and rifle used by Jacobs sons and of course Betsy that were used by the McCandles in my all time favorite movie big Jake - best opening scene ever too.
Others in addition to those listed...
The guns (rifles) used in night of the grizzly.
The jeep mounted 50 cal in rat patrol
Mississippi's sawed off that he got from the swede in El Dorado IIRC
Vic's Tommy gun in Combat
Oh course Clint's Gatling gun in Josey Wales
An Chucks partial sword in branded
Just some not mentioned earlier - I could go on ..
