RIP to a Pioneer
Roy produced and played on 2 albums I made back in 2008 and 2009. Played fiddle with the Sons of the Pioneers including the last show Roy Roger’s and Dale Evans played in the mid 90’s.

He had a real dry sense of humour I liked. He was very serious when he was recording as we did my albums. Perfectionist. I made him laugh one time during a take and we had to start over. I hadn’t finished all the lyrics to a song I wrote called Ridin’ with my Saddle Pals. The final line was “ gallop o’er the prairie, hearts are feeling merry” but I sang gallop o’er the prairie, my horse is big and hairy….and he cracked up. I’ll miss him. He was an original.
