Bullets...Gas... or Beer ?

Post by fortyshooter » Mon Jun 13, 2022 10:18 am

Tough choices to make soon with the costs of everything! I have plenty of bullets some gas and a few beers in the fridge so if the evening is good I might just sit in my driveway looking at the Mustang and enjoy a ice cold brew!

Well, I have plenty of bullets for the foreseeable future, gas I filled the daily driver this morning, $71  , and well beer lets see.
There's a 12 pack sittin in the floor, and another 6 pack in the frig.
Now as to sitting out side sip one, I'm out, I'll take mine inside as it's 95, with 57% humidity, and says it feels like 109. :o
And I've been out in it all day, other than a load of firewood that was giving to me that I will unload around dark, I'm done on the outside.

Yep Fathers Day weekend coming and weather supposed to be great so will enjoy the Mustang a bit. Bought myself a special Dad's Day gift....a pair of the Ford 427 Cobra valve covers that really add some motorhead bling to the 427 inch Windsor! Ford Racing doesn't carry them any longer but found the company that made them. Chill out one evening this weekend with hood up and a cold brew after a drive of course!

Yeah, that's looking good forty. Bullets I have, just gassed up two vehicles[ugh!] and have plenty of beer. Sooo, staying put for now, may tinker in the shop for a spell. Might just load up some .38 spl. Feeling kinda lazy today. Maybe have a beer and ponder the situation.

I hears ya! This week I filled my:

pickup…$165.00 mostly empty
Boat…$68.00 half full prior
Car…$60.00 1/4 full prior

$293.00. My first house payment was $230.00 (1979)

Pretty soon we’re just going to sit in our rigs and make motor noise with our mouths.

$230 bucks....Yep that's about what my rent is to the city each month....real estate tax owed on something I paid off years ago.
Our first apartment rent back in 1975 was $ 170 a month!
