That nice doggie was an evil female coyote, who took seven freerange chickens in one day, eighteen in a week. I couldn't shoot with my wrist in the cast but Miss T finally got her. At one point there were three or four packs in the area, still a large population. So much so she could no longer free range.

There is NO season on yotes in OK, they are considered varmints. Fair Game.

Same as here in TN, but you do have to have a hunting license, unless you are on your own land.

Yup, we have twenty one acres. But I have a lifetime license and written permission for another hundred and forty acres adjacent to our property. We all have cows and calves.

When you dump the carcass here, it's gone the next day. The only thing we have to notify for is if we are shooting at night. Just send a text. That way if the game warden gets a call, he just says, "I was notified a farmer is shooting coyotes over calls in that area tonight." His caller will usually say, "Cool."

Legal year around here in WA.
Coyote hunting is allowed in Washington year-round. Lights at night are permitted, except during modern firearm deer and elk seasons. A big or small game license is required

Man, can't win. :) Rain, Rain... Ground like puddin. Clear for a day, day and a half, then RAIN... like Noah needs to float his boat. On the upside, the pond now has plenty of water and both creeks have been flushed of debris. 8-) The water table is stable, and the fields are lush and green. :P

I just want to work on the range. I need dry ground to do it so the tractor doesn't tear things up and we have good footing when bullying those ties. I'm not supposed to do this kind of thing anymore. ;) Gimps have restrictions.

Woke up this morning to a thunderstorm at 2am, again at 6ish. Looks like a couple more days in the shop. 8-)

The only restriction is you can only use shotguns at night, #4 shot or smaller, no slugs. The wardens don't agree with that rule, but it's the rule. If you are hunting feral hogs, you can use slugs, rifles, bombs...
