Want to register a DBA tomorrow for a home business. I have equipment to professionally sharpen chainsaw chains and mower blades. Also can build chains and also sharpen knives, chisels, drill bits, wood turning tools etc. Something to keep me busy in the shop. Thought I would draw on the experience of this forum for suggestions. You people can be very creative and I would like to take advantage of that. Need a name that would not already be in use in Michigan.

Something like "Clean Edge Services Inc." Make it an L.L.C. so your assets are protected. Don't limit yourself by the business name. Also is it legal in your area to run a business out of your home? I was self employed my whole working life and sometimes one has to walk a narrow line with the local govt.What about your homeowner's insurance?
