You won’t find it in my former county either.

Did you take a drive to the range to see what it looked like

No. The road got too snowy and I didn’t want to get stuck. Plus I didn’t have a firearm. I drove in to Phillips just to see what was there.

I wonder how many neighbors of yours have their own range? It will be interesting to find out.

When visiting my step son, prior to the Covid and purchasing the farm, he said Sundays were shooting days in the neighborhood. Sure enough, throughout the day you heard all types of firearms. Next to him on the one side the fellow has a black powder rifle he shot regularly. It's a pretty loud cannon. Since I moved in, Sundays have been pretty quiet. Step son figures the ammunition shortage quieted things down a lot. I didn't have time to shoot much. I did shoot the full auto BB guns, but I don't think the sound travelled far.

So far everyone I’ve talked to has said shooting is common here. The former owner here told me he shot pistol up against the hill. He is currently my closest neighbor and said no one will think anything about hearing gunshots. He once owned a lot of the land around me. His wife attended the school across the field.

I told my real estate agent I wanted to be able to shoot on my property and she said that would be every property.

I’m very lucky - really nice 300 yard range at “the club” about 5 miles from my door to parking. Father in law’s house is five miles the other way and that’s where our steel hangs. About 7 miles to my friend’s house - and when we go there to shoot he cooks.

I’m 20 miles to the range which was about the same as in Woodinville. I doubt I’ll go to the range much.

My County and the FWC teamed up and built a range a few years ago. Pistol,1,2 and 300 yard rifle ranges. Sporting clays, trap ,skeet and 5 stand. Reasonably priced. Not everything is opened yet due to lack of help. I'll spend more time there once they pave the road.
