A Big Thank You

Post by BigAl52 » Wed Feb 09, 2022 8:16 pm

Right after the last contest ended I got a PM from Zara_Puppy. He won the bandolier. He told me he wanted me to have that Bandolier. I was totally taken off guard and surprised. We had some conversation back and forth as to why he would turn the prize over to me but his answer was he just wanted to do something nice for someone. Got a PM from Dan at Henry telling me when they come in I will be getting one. Pictures have been requested when I get it and that will happen. Cant thank Zara enough and I think its pretty darn special. Thanks very much again I have not ever had this happen before.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

That's why I keep telling newbies this forum is like a family. Folks help one another, usually asking nothing in return, and often with just one caveat... Shhh!

Twern’t a thing. Mr. BigAl52 was curious about them so I figured I’d give him a good close up look. 😉

Nam Vet hit the nail on the head - by far the friendliest site on the inter-web. I wasn’t a member on this site for a week just asking about the trigger on my new rifle and Esquare had a spring in the mail. Wouldn’t even let me pay shipping. The day after I picked up my Single Shot .357 went looking for a good load for it - that very same day Mr. Al himself had just posted some loads that were working well in his Single Shot. One of the loads he posted I had exactly the right ingredients for. And dang if that load didn’t put down two nice deer this season. While looking for the right person to help me move the bandoleer over to a deserving person, the top of the Henry Forum food chain sent me a couple of Henry patches (I win!).

I’ve done nothing that hasn’t been done for me. I stop in this place all the time looking for Ranch Roper’s latest target or to get a bit of wisdom from North Country Gal. 40 shooter posts fun vids and Markiver’s posts are always interesting. And that’s just the tip of this iceberg. Can’t list all the folks who’s posts I look forward to.

Not a cross word in sight - only helpful tips, encouragement and fun. Sometimes I wonder if we really know how unique this place really is.

Nicely done Zara and yep, you can walk on my lawn anytime you want. :D

Agree with your assessment of BigAl, he’s given me advice from electric bikes to 41 mag loads (including offering to send some of his bullet stash).

HRF is great place to hand out.
