These guys definitely picked the wrong guy to try to carjack. The 2 guys on the right are lucky he didn't swerve and hit them or make them bail over the guardrail.

Great response to the threat. I'm thinking the police didn't have too much trouble locating the vehicle involved... Likely empty.

My daughter currently drives a ‘97 Sierra. I always tell her she’s driving a 2,000 pound bullet. If she even thinks she’s in trouble just push the accelerator to the floor. Go through a red light, whatever. Just “get out of Dodge”.

Serves the deadbeats right... a shamevhe had to damage his truck some.. but a better outcome than if he had let them get the upper hand

Too many scumbags in this day and age. Just have to be aware and deal with them. Vehicles can be fixed/replaced, lives can’t.

I wasn’t able to make the video full screen. Were the scumbags armed?

We drive trucks, and have for years. The older ones have had bully bars or brush bars on the front. I intend to add them here once we work down the priorities list. For deer protection... Yeah, yeah... Deer protection.

Well that worked this time. Yes you can see the first thug that got out had a pistol in hand. When you are sitting in a vehicle you are mostly an easy target with just thin gauge sheet metal and glass around you. Throw it in reverse if you can't go forward.

It appeared so.
It looks like the young man even waits to put a round in the chamber until he gets out of the car.

Video is a little blurry, especially in full screen but he has something in his hand and is pointing it at the truck so it was probably a gun.

It happened in Chile a few days ago and can't find a lot of details. Apparently carjackings are becoming very common in S. American countries and also in S. Africa.

Thanks for the link Dave. Loved the part where it said, “never bring a small suv to a truck fight”.
