Saturday was a big day! I took first unassisted steps! I have been walking, (in short strolls) this week. I feel a new sense a freedom, now I'll just have to go slowly, and carefully.

I hear that, after my motorcycle accident it was around 6 months before I could start walking with a cane. It was all crutches or a wheelchair as I couldn't bear any weight on my foot.

Set back; The boot rubbed on my incision and opened it a bit. After seeing the doctor, it's not infected, and I have to put a wet/dry wrap on it daily.
No boot and back on the scooter for 3 weeks.
