I'm turning into Elmer Fudd

Post by daytime dave » Mon Jan 31, 2022 8:49 pm

Well, I guess it could be worse. JEBar called me tonight. I was out getting some exercise and I had to answer the phone when Jim called me. I was out hunting rabbits in the back pasture. I was dressed for the weather and the hunt. As I told Jim what I was doing and what I was dressed like, I said I was dressed like Elmer Fudd, right down to the double barrel scatter gun, lol. Well, we had a laugh. So here is what I had on. You be the judge.

Are you sure it wasn't duck season?

Yep, that’s full on Fudd right there.

Side story, for years I operated a forklift requiring being both inside and outside. When I went outside in the winter I wore my wool cap with earflaps. Took a lot of crap from fellow workers but I just smiled and and told folks that my hat was a “Fuddster”. That always got a laugh.

Great looking gear Dave, wear it proudly.

must admit I thoroughly enjoyed the vision of Dave dressed as Elmer .... after he told me, it took me a few moments to remember why I called him :D

I completely get where Dave is at. I have gone to shot gunning recently, and about to purchase a CZ 20ga SxS. It'll work fine for some upland birds and just plain fun.

The good news is nowadays you can be Elmer Fudd but identify as Petunia Pig and it's all perfectly normal....
